the food in Iran was perfectly ok but boring. They have little access to out of country goods and as they are depressed do,not make great effort... the tea rooms were always interesting some very old. Likem700 Years. InJordan there is more flavour to,the food and R and I took a class inJordanian food last night. It was disappointing as there was. Huge crowd and a big menu...4 cold Mezze 1 hot soup. And a dish for,which they are well known,,upside down chicken called MagLouba
We did not get to make the entire meal but rather there six tables with at least 6 to 10 at each table so at our table we made babganoush and tahini salad.and the lentil soup.
